Thomas Jefferson Middle School
Vancouver, Washington
A two building, 133,000 square foot new school facility. The structure includes classrooms, a media center, commons area,
an auditorium, and gymnasium. The two buildings are connected with a 3 inch seismic separation. The buildings were constructed
with concrete, steel, and masonry. The gymnasium is laterally supported by masonry shear walls while the rest of the structure
is laterally supported by braced frames. This project was completed fall 2004.
