Redmond High School
Redmond, Oregon

A five-building, 274,000 square foot, 1400 student new school facility. This project features classrooms, media center, commons area, cafeteria, auditorium, gymnasiums, and administrative offices. The design of the school incorporates small learning communities in order to increase student achievement. The buildings were constructed with steel framing, open web steel roof joist, composite concrete and metal deck for the floors, concrete tilt-up walls, and masonry walls for the auditorium. Featured structural elements included exposed sloped wide-flange steel columns, custom Glulam Beam and steel composite roof trusses (spanning up to 104 feet in the gymnasium), and exposed Glulam Beam and steel tube roof framing. Scheduled for completion in the spring of 2012 and opening for school in the fall of 2012.
